Caroline Apovian, M.D., is the director of the Center for Nutrition and Weight Management at Boston Medical Center, a nutritional consultant for NASA, and a professor at the Boston University School of Medicine. She has treated thousands of patients over her career as a physician nutrition specialist. She also spends part of her time conducting clinical research on fat cells and new ways to help people lose weight.
